Write back Sakshi Research Team invites informed and scriptural response to Dr. Vishal Mangalwadi’s articles. Dr. Vishal Mangalwadi is one of the foremost evangelical thinkers of the India. His contributions to the apologetics movement in India are immense. One has to only read his books- the World of Gurus (where he scholarly exposed many of the modern day Hindu gurus), India the Grand Experiment (where he thoroughly documented the contribution of Christian faith to the nation building) or Missionary Conspiracy: Letters to a Post Modern Hindu (a masterly refutation of Arun Shourie’s allegations against Christians) to agree with this assessment.

When a godly man, who has blessed us so much with his tireless efforts for our community and nation, speaks we must listen. We may or may not accept everything that he says. And we need not be. But we must pay attention to his voice and think about the reasons behind that voice. We must evaluate what he says in the light of the only infallible word- The Holy Bible. The Holy Bible calls such people as fair-minded.

Acts 17:10-11: “Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more fair minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.”

1. They readily received the word. Remember Paul’s preaching was different from the then Jewish Rabbis. Yet they did not reject it without giving a hearing.

2. Though the readily received the word, they did not accept it blindly but they searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.

We desire that all of us should listen to alternative voices especially when spoken by a credible person like Dr. Vishal. It is our duty then to evaluate those in the light of the Holy Bible and accept or reject accordingly.  We would like to hear your response after reading and evaluating everything in the light of the Holy Bible.

Please do send us your comment to sakshi.apologeticsnetwork@gmail.com with your reasons. We would like to share those with Dr. Vishal as well as publish it in this website.

We do not make idols out of our heroes of faith. But we do honor them. We are not a cultic religion to insist an agreement on every minor detail. We have the freedom within the body of Christ to articulate different views. So let us fearlessly but rationally share our views.

We look forward for your informed comments/articles as a response to Dr. Vishal’s writings.
